About the project

Pale oak floors, black window frames and a beamed white ceiling give these rooms their structure. The work sits in the layers on top of it — burl and cane pulled up against painted shiplap, sage paneling under a papered wall, forsythia cut early and stood in an antique olive jar on soapstone.
